When the Covid-19 pandemic hit, I wanted to make a positive contribution to my community. I was inspired by the “The Front Steps Project,” in which photographers nationwide documented families outside of their homes, donating their time to raise money for local non-profits. A portrait specialist for over two decades, this was a perfect fit for me.
I partnered with Foodshare, the Feeding America food bank serving central Connecticut. People were photographed in exchange for a donation to the organization. With the help of neighbors and friends, I raised over $5,000 for the organization and connected with so many of my neighbors.
